These gorgeous wee ceramic birds are handmade by up-and-coming local ceramicist Amanda Fowler. Each one is a little work of art, with its own personality, earthy colours and wonderfully unique textures.

Created using a pit-firing process, the birds develop their distinctive finishes through the combination of heat, wrapping materials and chemical additions. The results are beautifully unpredictable, with smoky markings, rich earthy tones and fascinating variations in texture.

No two birds are ever alike. Every mark, colour variation and imperfection adds to their charm, making each piece truly original.
